This website is over 20 years of hard work and dedication of research that I have completed and finally put down on digital copy. The contents of this site contain images, documents, and personal images that I have saved and taken over those years.
My main source of information is from Ancestry.com and many other web sites. Some other information has been received by family members, and if you wish to provide information that you would like to see on the site, please provide it to me through mohorter@gmail.com. If you notice information that is incorrect, please contact me through my email as well.
I have been to hundreds of cemeteries over the years as well and started to clean the tombstones that are in need of cleaning. Some of these stones are very old and have alot of weathering on them. These are stones of our ancestors that deserve some TLC and deserve to be remembered. During 2023 I have a few trips planned within New York State to clean up a few of our families cemeteries. I have always questioned where do I come from? What part of the world did our family originate? When did we come to the States? Since then I have been able to trace the Mohorter family back over 10 generations, to the late 1600's. I've found that our family originates in the Eisingen, Enzkreis, Baden-Wurttemberg region of Germany, and came to the U.S. before records were taken of immigrants
